During a site visit at Will Rogers Elementary School, 3rd grade students were asked to create a jingle for a healthy snack advertisement. Female students replied with -in the tune of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Getting Back Together”- “We… are never ever ever… gonna eat McDonald’s!” You go girls!
Our 2011-2012 shirts were royal blue. Every morning we arrived the students would shout “THE BLUE PEOPLE ARE HERE!”
We were pulling out of the parking lot after site visit when we noticed all of our students lined up against the fence. The P.E. coach yelled “NOW!” The kids proceeded to jump up onto the fence and scream “THANK YOU SCOPE!”
During the Olympics Field Day in spring 2013, we took the elementary school students to the Sculpture Garden for lunch. One of the boys from Stoner Elementary stood beside and imitated one of the naked statues nearby, making all of his friends laugh.
